Broadway 4D Theatre, Times Square

The Project included the historical restoration of the original Times Square Theater built in 1923 and with full respect of the historical fabric of the Building, was to transform it to provide a 4D theater experience for more than 800 visitors per show. Atria Builders Construction Management Services was engaged by the California-based Owner to over-see the pre-construction and all subsequent construction phases of a new state of the art entertainment venue located in the Time’s Square area of Manhattan. In addition to the preservation work, the scope of work included lighting, seating and special effects equipment and systems were to be coordinated and managed by Atria to achieve a twelve (12) month construction period. Due to cost overruns associated with the 4-D movie production, the project was deemed unviable by the landlord and the lease was terminated.
